Idioms: Pull a Fast One

Here’s another idiom from baseball…

PULL A FAST ONE

I thought I was getting a good deal, but after reading the fine print I realized they pulled a fast one.

This idiom means: to fool or cheat someone

This idiom makes reference to pitchers in baseball.  They throw fast balls that fool the batter because of the speed of the ball.
