Practice, practice, practice

Someone sent me these sentences showing some of the challenges the English language presents!

Practice saying these sentences aloud.

The stress changes the sound & meaning of the word.

Put the emphasis on the bold part of the word.

The farm was used to produce produce.

I did not object to the object.

The insurance was invalid for the invalid.

I had to subject the subject to a number of tests.

These show how a change in pronunciation gives you a different word.

The bandage was wound (rhymes with round) around the wound (rhymes with spooned)

He could lead (seed) if he could get the lead (said) out.

They were too close (gross) to the door to close (nose) it.

Upon seeing the tear (hair) in my shirt I shed a tear (ear).

Does anyone have other practice sentences to share?
